Share your thoughts about how the newsroom of the future should be different . (And if you do, please post a copy of your answer in the forums).
Our School of Journalism is in the midst of rethinking how we do what we do. We currently operate on a workshop basis in which students take two out of five basic six-week workshops (Newspaper, Radio, TV, Online and Narrative Nonfiction) and a third workshop in a more specialized area (Investigative Reporting, Radio Documentary, TV Documentary, Magazine, etc..)
We're trying to figure out how best to change from these silos to a more multimedia approach — without losing either the specific skills training we now offer or our focus on the central skill of storytelling.
All of this is happening at the same time we're beginning the process of thinking about a new building to house this Journalism School of the Future.
