Ralph Braseth took degrees from Western Washington University (theatre and dance), U of Missouri School of Journalism, and the University of Mississippi (education administration and leadership) He worked as a reporter, videographer, producer and anchor in Columbia, Missouri, Jackson, Mississippi, Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo, Michigan, Tri-Cities, Washington, Memphis, Tennessee and for public television as a farm reporter. He started his academic career at the U of Mississippi in 1989 and is currently director of student media and assistant professor of journalism. Braseth has produced eight documentaries (some lousy, some ok, two good ones) and is currently producing a documentary on infant mortality in Mississippi. His passion is new media. His research interests focus on the economics of new media. And I'm nowhere near as serious as what I just wrote.
