- The newsroom I work in has a simple management structure. Ideas usually start with individuals -- but for an important idea to make it through our newsroom into print or Web, it goes through a lot of peer review. It's all friendly. But this has the effect of polishing the idea into a gem. Seldom does something make it to publication just because the boss alone liked it. It takes more than that. I've come to love this approach. I think we're on to something.
