- (camera pans slowly across a cluttered desk, topped with empty Diet Coke cans, until it settles on a bleary-eyed white guy in his late 40s sitting in front of a PC). I have been a journalist for 27 years, 22 of them spent as a reporter at daily newspapers. Yes, I blog, but that's not reflected in my salary or my evaluation. The job they pay me to do is to write editorials, three or four per week. The Internet is helpful, but my best research tool is still the telephone. I'm Jon Healey, and I am the MSM.
